come on in —

Hello.

We’re Lindsey & James, and we are so glad you found your way to our little corner. Thank you for taking a moment to get to know us — the everyday, ordinary, joyful life we’ve built, and can’t wait to share with a little one.

Two worlds,
one home.

We met in college — two people from completely different worlds and very different families. Lindsey grew up in a big, tight-knit family with everyone always around the table; James came from a smaller, more scattered one. Somehow those two beginnings fit together, and we’ve been side by side ever since.

James carries a story close to his heart: as a boy, he was adopted by his dad — a choice his father made so that James and his mom could have the best life possible. As a grown man, James has come to understand and treasure the sacrifices both of his fathers made for him. It’s part of why adoption means so much to us — we know, first-hand, how much love it takes, and how much love it gives.

Faith is another quiet thread that ties us together. Lindsey is a cradle Catholic, raised in the Church her whole life, and across the years of our relationship she shared that faith with James, gently and without pressure. He was baptized as an adult — a choice of his own. Fittingly, James’s dad was a cradle Catholic too, yet he always wanted James to decide for himself, as a grown man, what he believes: roots to stand on, and the freedom to choose — the very kind of love we hope to give our own child.

Lindsey.

Lindsey is the warm, steady heart of our home. Raised in a big, busy, tight-knit family, she grew up with a seat always saved at the table and rarely a quiet moment — the big sister to her two younger siblings, and the cousin who never forgets a birthday.

A BCBA by day, she spends her work helping kids and families — and she’s the one friends turn to for a patient ear or a good laugh. She’s our family’s vacation planner and idea adventurer, always dreaming up the next trip. Back home she loves to bake, or curl up with a good murder mystery (even when it leaves her a little wide-eyed at bedtime).

But she truly comes to life when she’s surrounded by family and cousins — and especially everyone’s little ones. Generous, a little goofy, and happiest with the people she loves close by.

James.

James grew up in a smaller, quieter family, and he tends to meet life thoughtfully, and on his own terms. He works as a Lead Software Architect, leading the same dedicated team for the last ten years — steady, curious, and quietly funny.

He’s a hands-on, always-making kind of guy. You’ll find him out on the mountain-bike trails, in the workshop building something out of wood, tackling a DIY project, or happily taking something apart just to fix it. He loves to cook, too — and when he finally sits down, it’s usually with a good video game.

He’s already the dad who will build the fort, fix the bike, stay up to finish the science-fair project, and teach fairness over a video game.

Our home, with room for one more.

Home is a cozy place in Marietta, Georgia — the kind of street where neighbors wave and the porch light’s always on. There’s a kitchen that smells like Sunday dinner, a garden we’re forever fussing over, a backyard Maverick and Molly have claimed as their own, and a quiet room down the hall, holding its breath for someone special.

Maverick & Molly.

Maverick is our sweet, silly boy — and just about the most non-husky husky you’ll ever meet. He’s calm and gentle to the core, happiest basking in a summer sunbeam or heading out for a long walk.

Molly, our pug-mix, is a devoted couch potato indoors — but the moment her paws hit the grass she turns into an energizer bunny. She loves a good walk every bit as much as her brother does.

Both of them are gentle, people-loving, and have a whole lot of love saved up for a little one to grow up right alongside.

The things we love to do.

The best parts of our life are the ones we get to share — a new beach, a mountain trail, a roadside antique shop, hands deep in the garden. We love learning about the world, and we can’t wait to explore all of it with a little one beside us.

the rhythm of our life

Our little traditions.

Some of what we love most isn’t a place at all — it’s the rhythm. Every Sunday you’ll find us in the same pew at Holy Family Catholic Church, faithful parishioners grateful for the quiet anchor it gives our week.

The rest of the time we’re hands-on, out-the-door people — hiking, antiquing, kayaking, and traveling whenever we can talk ourselves into it. Traveling to see family in Louisiana, adventuring to new locations with friends, or a yearly beach trip to Orange Beach with family. .

your people, already waiting

A whole village, waiting.

A child welcomed into our family is welcomed into a big, loving crowd. James has his two parents; Lindsey has her mom and dad and her two younger siblings, plus a wonderfully present extended family on both sides — aunts, uncles, and more cousins than we can count.

Our closest friends are scattered across the country, and we work to keep them near — yearly trips to see the ones who live far, and the nearby ones we see all the time, out biking, shopping, or just spending the day together. A few of them are already first in line to be honorary aunts and uncles.

To you, the mother —

We can only begin to imagine the weight of the decision you are carrying, and the love, strength, and selflessness it asks of you. Please know we hold it with all the reverence it deserves. This is our promise to you: we will do everything in our power to raise your child with all the love, patience, and devotion we have to give. You will always be part of their story — and part of ours.

— with our deepest gratitude, Lindsey & James
To you, little one —

We promise you a home filled, every single day, with love you can lean on, laugh in, and always come back to. We promise to help you grow up knowing you are wanted, cherished, and safe. And when the time is right, we promise you will come to know just how deeply your birth mother loves you. Where you come from is a gift, and we will honor it always.

— with all our love, Lindsey & James
